The second half of the year brings the Madison Shakespeare Company premiere of a romantic comedy classic, and the United States premiere of a pioneering sci-fi dramedy.
Love’s Labour’s Lost, directed by Annie Jay, performs August 9-18 at Madison Country Day School. Featuring Kyla Vaughan, Warren Stern, Laura Kochanowski, and Chad Fifer, the story takes place in the Kingdom of Navarre, where the young ruler decides to promote peace, prosperity, and scholarship by swearing off all contact with women. When the Princess of France arrives for a high-stakes negotiation, his resolve is quickly challenged. Tickets are available now through Eventbrite.
This fall, MSC presents the US premiere of The Blue Comet by Eden Phillpotts, opening November 1 as our first presentation as a Bartell Theatre Resident Company. The year is 1926, and the Bedales are caught in a maelstrom. For starters, a rogue comet is on a collision course with Earth. To make matters worse, their Australian cousin is coming to visit. Signup for auditions is open now for slots on August 20, 21, and 22.
