Join the world’s longest-running ensemble performing classic love scenes. A Valentine’s Affair 2027 is directed by Birdie La Barre, whose recent directing credits include Dr. Ride’s American Beach House (co-directed) and CapitalQ Festival 2025/26.
For this season of A Valentine’s Affair we are looking for six performers:
– Three for characters like Rosalind, Beatrice, Celia, Hermia, Helena, Viola, Juliet, Bianca, Isabella, Julia, and Hero.
– Three for characters like Benedick, Petruchio, Brutus, Orlando, Demetrius, Lysander, Autolycus, Silvius, Romeo, Valentine, and Sir Andrew.
Signup required below. You will be assigned an audition time after your signup is processed. Appointments are available on the evenings of November 9 and 10. Callbacks, if necessary, are November 11.
Candidates may be asked to prepare one memorized passage from Shakespeare not longer than two minutes, zero seconds.
Auditions to be held at the Bartell Theatre on the Drury Stage.
All candidates may be asked to participate in scene readings.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old as of November 29, 2026.
