Yes, as we write this it’s been snowing for hours. But we swear to you that outdoor theater season is just around the corner!
On Friday April 12, Madison Shakespeare Company takes on a new Adult Swim theme, “Slumber Party”, at Madison Children’s Museum. Featuring classic scenes about going to bed or closing ones eyes for the very last time, this age 21+ event takes over the inside (and outside) of the Museum from 5:30 – 9 PM. MSC will perform on the rooftop at 6:30 and 7:30. (Or in the indoor Wildernest, if the weather takes another wild turn.)
Then set course due east for Tyranena Brewing Company in Lake Mills for Lovers In June 2024. Two gorgeous afternoons, June 1 and 2 at 2 PM, with BYO or delivery eats, beverages from the beer garden, and eight classic love scenes.
We finish off the month of June with Dido, Queen of Carthage, the incredible supernatural romance tale by Christopher Marlowe. It will be the first full-length production in Madison Children’s Museum’s Drama In the Wonderground series.
And summer will barely have begun! Check back for news on Love’s Labour’s Lost, and other pop-up opportunities to see MSC classics in action.
