Veteran performer and frequent MSC collaborator Harvey Black passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2021.

On Friday October 1, from 4-7 PM, a memorial will be held outdoors at the Edgewood College Amphitheater behind The Stream theater building. Harvey was a tireless supporter of Edgewood’s Theatre Arts program for many years, most recently appearing in the college’s 2020 streamed presentation of Measure For Measure. Please see the map below for information about reaching the building on the Edgewood College campus.

At 4:15 PM there will be brief readings from selected Harvey stage roles.

The main memorial programming will begin at 5:30 PM, with performances by musical collaborators and brief remarks from friends and family.

Those who cannot attend are invited to submit their thoughts and recollections on the virtual guestbook.

Memorial guests do not need to register their vehicle, simply park in any valid college campus parking space.

In case of inclement weather, the memorial will move indoors.

Harvey’s will recommends that memorial gifts be directed either to American Players Theatre or Madison Savoyards.

This post will be updated with further details about the memorial as they become available.
